MET Tirana Building

MET Tirana Building consists of a new mixed-use 12-storey building positioned in the heart of Tirana, in CBD area along Zhan D’ark Boulevard, adjacent to former Dajti Hotel. Along with the underground floors, the project has in total 17 floors, more specifically 3 floors of parking, 2 floors of retail areas, 6 floor of offices and 6 floors of residential. It has an excellent location, as it is located few steps from Tirana city historical center and important governmental institutions, Block Area and TVSH neighborhood area, all part of CBD. Following the project’s prime location within the Central Business District (CBD), the zoning of the area consists of mixed use including mostly: state institutions, office spaces, retail and residential. The volume of the new building is designed to house a 12-storey tower.

One of the important elements of the project is are the series of green terraces and diaphragms designed to guarantee high-quality outdoor spaces for each accommodation. Such aspect gives the building high level of lightness and elegance, as well as an excellent supply of natural light. The project is characterized by a facade study that alternates opaque modules with transparent modules, conferring elegance and lightness to the building and ensuring adequate levels of natural light for the interiors. This type of facade reinforces the spiral volumetric configuration of the building, emphasizing the volumes and terraces, this aspect starts from level +2, and then continues to the last level where almost all of the elliptical plan is cut.  

The entire surface has almost a regular shape with a slight deviation on the western side. The project’s site is bordered by the Zhan Dark Boulevard on the south, the new Bank of Albania Headquarters project on the west, the National Arts Gallery on the north and St. Pal Catholic Cathedral on the east. The main “Deshmoret e Kombit” Boulevard is positioned 100 meters on the western side of the project.
