Making a difference in Memphis
Memphis
Colliers in Memphis focuses on accelerating our clients’ success by seamlessly providing a full range of services to real estate users, owners and investors. For more than 60 years, we’ve helped clients meet the complex demands of their commercial real estate needs. This local heritage has earned us our longstanding reputation as a pioneer in the commercial real estate business. We developed much of the original footprint for the city known today as "America’s Distribution Center" for its unique combination of location, transportation, distribution employee base and affordability. Simply put, we’re the industrial real estate market leaders in a city that thrives on industrial real estate.
The depth and breadth of our associates’ experience consistently has made us one of the highest-producing industrial real estate firms in the Memphis market, and supports our strategy to establish a major presence in the office and retail markets. Collaborating with an elite group of Colliers International institutional sales specialists from across the country, our local investment services group works with national and global institutions and investors to identify, evaluate and select assets that best complement their portfolios and meet their performance and income objectives.
As experts in current market conditions and trends, we are able to make solid business decisions that can positively affect the bottom-line profitability of our clients. Collectively, we are members and leaders in major commercial real estate accrediting organizations including Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and others. Our agents also carry on the tradition of founders Bob Snowden and Russel Wilkinson by participating in a host of civic and community organizations.
Local history
In its first 45 years, the company, founded by Robert Snowden and Russell Wilkinson, operated as Wilkinson & Snowden, Inc. and grew to become an industrial real estate powerhouse in the market. In 1991, the company joined Colliers International, a global partnership of commercial real estate firms, and became Colliers Wilkinson Snowden.
In the early 1990s, we joined the Colliers Investment Sales Group (CISG) and began honing our skills in institutional investment sales. Since that time, we’ve helped dozens of institutions and investors with more than $700 million in sales transactions.
Many of these investors find tremendous value in pairing our experience in institutional sales with our extensive property management capabilities. In 2004, we formed our specialized asset services team to provide third-party management and leasing services exclusively for our clients. In 2010, the company adopted the Colliers International name as part of a strategic integration into a single global platform.
A commitment to community
Giving back is an essential part of who we are. We donate our time, talents and resources to causes that are meaningful to our employees, their families, our clients and communities.
We’re also deeply committed to socially and environmentally responsible business practice, the kind that keep our communities healthy while supporting the long-term success of business.
Carrying on the tradition of our founders, we are all committed to making Memphis a better place to live and work by getting involved in our community. Just some of the organizations we are actively involved in include:
