Throughout my career as a real estate professional, I have maintained my strong client base and reputation for focus on suburban office properties because of the strong relationships I have developed with landlords whom I continue to represent in leasing and sale transactions.
I pride myself on being extremely up-to-date on significant suburban office developments and trends in the West Michigan market.
Focusing on owner-occupant office building purchases, I use a series of analytical tools, and have been very successful in helping many businesses make their first real estate investment by purchasing their own building.
I also continue to devote more energy to the growing medical and health care industry in West Michigan, and have closed over 50 medical transactions in the past 10 years, representing area physicians in both purchase and lease transactions.

As a leading Commercial Real Estate Specialist, I focus on working with general and medical office transactions throughout West Michigan.
I provide services to special projects where technology and analytical skills are required to achieve the best client results. My work with hospitals and medical groups has earned me a respected reputation as a leading broker for medical-related properties.
I have worked with the sale and leasing of data centers, call centers, and numerous special projects that are not considered general office transactions. Also, my previous experience at Whirlpool Corporation afforded me a unique perspective in dealing with corporate clients.
I have been working in the commercial real estate industry since 1996. During this time, I have successfully completed hundreds of commercial real estate transactions for various property types and sizes.
Throughout my career, I have consistently been a top producer, representing clients on national, regional and local levels to fulfill their commercial real estate portfolio requirements. My experience includes transactions across several sectors including industrial, office, retail, land and other unique property types.
I proudly represent Colliers and utilize their research, insights and resources to provide top-tier commercial real estate services throughout Northern Michigan, working out of the Traverse City office.
My specialties include landlord and owner representation, corporate real estate representation, real estate portfolio planning, tenant and buyer representation, investment sales, sale leasebacks and land sales.
Associate Vice President
I have been involved in commercial real estate for over 15 years working both as a real estate broker and for a commercial general contractor, and previously served as an owner’s representative on many development projects, ranging in size from $250,000 to projects exceeding $10,000,000 in value. Because of this, I have gained expertise in many aspects of a commercial real estate transaction from financial evaluation, environmental concerns & incentives, legal and entitlement processes and general project due diligence matters.
My background and emphasis is in finance, and excels in finding creative solutions to find, create and maximize real estate opportunities.
I have lived in West Michigan my entire life and know the area well. I leverage my knowlege of the market and the resources provided by Colliers to create a comprehensive marketing strategy to maximize value for my clients. Along with the innovative technological tools available from Colliers, the collaborative culture of the company allows for additional value-added resources from the shared knowledge of teams across the nation dedicated to specialization within the industrial commercial real estate sector.
My primary focus lies within vacant land, investments, or existing buildings for industrial use. My experience includes sales, leases, sale-leasebacks, broker valuation services, and other real estate services for purchasers, tenants, sellers, and landlords.
Senior Vice President
I have been involved in virtually every area of the real estate industry. I am a recognized expert in structured transactions through the use of various rehabilitation and other incentive programs. My areas of specialization include performing project feasibility studies; identifying applicable incentive programs, obtain entitlements required under various incentive program, structure the transaction to maximize the incentive benefits, identify and close with incentive investors. I addition, I develop and implement turn-around plans for troubled ventures and structure incentive structure unwinds.
I serve on the Investment Group and actively consult with clients on State and Federal tax credits, various development grant programs, and Tax Increment Financing. These services include acquisition, redevelopment, operations, and dispositions of incentive properties. In total, I have obtained development incentives for my clients with a monetized value in excess of $1 billion. Seeking to help clients accomplish their goals, I provide a skilled professional consulting service to help companies and organizations understand impacts incentives may have on their operations and assist in periodic compliance requirements’ real estate transactions to maximize the benefit of these incentives, assist in the application process, and monetize the value of the incentives obtained.
After college, I began working as an account executive with a logistics company where I managed the daily operations of a strategic business account. I decided to make the switch in 2022 to commercial real estate so I could put my account management background to use working with clients to fulfill their commercial real estate needs. I look forward to learning and growing with Colliers to become an expert in commercial real estate while giving back to this great community.
Craig brings over 35 years of experience in real estate, including brokerage, development, syndication, property management and loan workouts. He successfully converted a 180 unit apartment community into condominiums. He has owned and operated a NASD Broker Dealer and a property management company. Craig has been the managing partner for several real estate limited partnerships and he understands the intricacies of owning and operating a multifamily asset. His responsibilities primarily involve working with Sellers and Buyers to consummate a transaction. He interacts with both parties and their representatives through all aspects of a sale up to and through the closing.
As a Multifamily Advisor, I specialize in the acquisition and disposition of multifamily apartment communities in West Michigan.
Together with Craig Black, we offer our clients the full range of multifamily acquisition, disposition, and advisory services. As local experts, we take pride in staying up-to-date on multifamily developments and trends in West Michigan.
As Managing Director, I have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the entire portfolio of the company’s offerings, and oversee the key functions of sales, delivery and business enabling functions.
I drive and oversee the continuous renewal of key processes, systems and policies across the company in client relationship management, sales effectiveness, quality assurance, talent management and leadership development.
In addition to nearly a decade’s worth of management experience, I have six years of experience in helping real estate professionals secure loans. There I was a leader in fostering excellence and built trust and respect within the organization and throughout the community.
In 2007, I created Potvin Haywood & Associates, an origination team consistently in the top 10% of producers nationwide. My team and I have generated new loan opportunities and met with clients to determine their financial situation and eligibility.
