Senior Director, Office Services
As the National Leader of Colliers Global Life Science Practice Group, I bring 43 years of commercial real estate experience and 22 years of experience focusing on life science real estate. My acquired knowledge in life science work has been on both the landlord (Wexford Science & Technology) and the tenant side within the industry.
I have experience with Advanced Therapeutic Medicinal Products, Parenteral Fill Finish, Solid Oral Dosage, Biologics, and Medical Device manufacturing facilities, as well as a solid background in Laboratory Research and Development/Pilot scale facilities and controlled environments. Through my work on local, regional and national site selection assignments, I have developed a firm grasp of the rigorous process required to meet the key search criteria of my clients.
My knowledge of market conditions and influences in the life sciences supports my ability to be creative in structuring the financial details of both lease and purchase transactions. My network of a wide variety of trusted advisors within the industry facilitates a regular flow of information about life science real estate trends, pricing, and comparable data for leasing and sales transactions.

Mr. Cole joined the Colliers International Urban Brokerage team in 2018. He has spent 30 years working in the industry, focusing on companies within the life science, pharmaceutical, biomanufacturing and technology industries. His practice involves creating effective real estate solutions for his clients, locally and globally, and landlord representation for primarily office and industrial properties.

Charlie has more than 29 years of experience in commercial real estate and related fields, and has worked with a broad range of clients/tenants including Merrill Lynch, Integra LifeSciences, Deutsche Bank AG, BASF, Biomet, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), KKR/Capstone, John Wiley and Sons, Maher Terminals, AIG, Marsh & McLennan, Mobil, Sprint, Siemens, AON, Fidelity Investments, Lehman Brothers, PNC Bank, Prudential, Sanofi-Aventis, Coca-Cola and Aetna/US Healthcare, Celgene, Celularity, Cellectis. Additionally, he has represented institutional ownership in the disposition and acquisition of land, buildings, build-to-suits and large-scale lease transactions.
Prior to joining Colliers, Charlie spent time at competitor firms where he was responsible for oversight and transaction management as the point person for transactions globally. He also oversaw an 8.5 million-square-foot, Class A office portfolio in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania for SJP Properties.
Chicago - Downtown
David provides corporate real estate transaction advisory services for projects around Chicago and for accounts globally. His experience includes leasing and sales negotiations for headquarters and satellite offices; industrial warehouses, plants and distribution centers; retail branch offices; wet lab and R&D centers; schools; and other facilites for organization that occupy space.
The service line is often referred to tenant representation, occupier services, or corporate solutions. David is a leader in Colliers TAMI, Life Science Practice Group, Education Services Group and its Tenant Advisory Council consisting of the Top 100 tenant rep brokers globally. His speciality is identifying the right program, tenaciously negotiating the right terms, assembling the right team of archiects, contractors and consultants for tenants seeking the best value to grow their business. In addition to office, lab, industrial, manufacturing and retail leasing and sales transactions, his team delivers account management, lease administration, workplace strategy, labor analytics, capital markets, project management, and incentives procurement services. He has completed thousands of renewals and new leases, as well as negotiated build to suit and sale/leaseback transactions.
Prior to joining Colliers in 2008, he worked on Capitol Hill developing a specialty in economic incentives and later as a site selection consultant at Arthur Andersen LLP. Then after attenidng business school, he moved into tenant representation and corporate services at CBRE and C&W.
David and wife Kristy met at Illinois, got married in 2001 and have three teenage sons.
