2021 Ends on a High Note
The San Francisco Peninsula continues to be resilient while the population adjusts to the new normal. In 2021, the Peninsula reported overall occupancy gains in every quarter, finishing off the year with more than 166,000 square feet of positive net absorption. Despite the upsurge in the Delta and Omicron coronavirus variants, companies have generated over 2.3 million square feet of gross absorption in the fourth quarter. The top three deals alone totaled nearly 1.0 million square feet, signifying San Mateo County as a prominent location for companies to establish their presence in the Bay Area.
