Light at the End of the Tunnel
With the first half of 2021 in the books, the pandemic still has lingering effects on the North I-680 office market. The overall vacancy rate has increased to 20.2 percent, marking yet another high watermark for vacancy. Overall weighted asking rents decreased to $3.16 from $3.19 marking the second decrease in asking rates in nearly three years. While the region’s office market has looked bleak the past year, there may be light at the end of the tunnel.
