Shelter-In-Place Spurs Demand for Home Delivery
Following a strong first quarter highlighted by notable sales transactions, the onset of COVID-19 sent the economy into a screeching halt. However, the mandated shelter-in-place and work-from-home strategies, also kicked off an increase in online shopping and home delivery services; which are very much serviced by industrial and warehouse properties. This segment remains relatively insulated from the impacts of the current pandemic from a business demand perspective.
