Third Quarter Slumbers

Reno 2019 Q3 Industrial Market Research Report

Gross absorption slowed to 705,000 square feet in the third quarter of 2019, which is indicative of the preceding quarter’s activity. The positive news was that current activity abounded, and new transactions were taking place. Net absorption for the quarter was significantly off target; 1,125,000 square feet of retro-fitted space in McCarran Commerce Center was returned to the market. This equated to negative 280,295 square feet of net absorption. That being said, there was strong storage activity in the McCarran Commerce Center, and this returned space should be occupied in the coming quarters.
