Omaha Continues To Move Forward Despite COVID-19

Omaha commercial real estate sales remained relatively strong in 2020 despite COVID-19. In particular, Colliers | Omaha tracked $1.145 billion of commercial real estate sales throughout Omaha during 2020, which was a mere 4.33 percent dip from full year 2019. On a 10-year basis, 2020’s $1.145 billion in sales was 2.3 percent below the 10-year average of annual Omaha sales. That doesn’t mean that the year was uneventful as Omaha started with a strong first quarter, and then experienced a cliff-like drop in second quarter volume of 87 percent compared to 2019, followed by what can be described as a relatively normal second half of 2020.
