There was 1.06 million square feet of leasing activity (in leases 15,000+ SF) in post-2010 new construction during H1 2022 across the Manhattan office market. 

  • Notable transactions included HSBC’s 264,000 sq. ft. new lease at 66 Hudson Boulevard, Clifford Chance’s 145,000 sq. ft. new lease at 2 Manhattan West, and Turner Construction’s 87,000 sq. ft. expansion at 66 Hudson Boulevard.
  • Midtown South accounted for nearly 75.0% of deal volume in new construction during H1 2022. Most of this took place in the Hudson Yards/Manhattan West submarket.
