Brooklyn’s leasing activity dropped by more than half, quarter-over-quarter. The available inventory remained stable with flat absorption while the asking rent average increased slightly since Q2 2021.

 

Quarterly Leasing Volume Fell by 56.2%

Brooklyn’s Q3 2021 leasing activity (0.14 million square feet) fell by 56.2% since Q2 2021 (0.33 million square feet) and was substantially less than the 0.36 million square feet of leasing volume recorded one year ago.
