Fairfield County’s office market gained back some of the ground that it gave up during the second quarter.
Quarterly leasing activity increased 14.8% from the previous quarter to 766,814 SF. Net absorption rebounded and experienced 1,354,063 SF of positive absorption as a handful of fully occupied, build-to-suit office buildings were delivered and demand in the CBDs continued to chug along. The availability rate decreased 180 basis points (bps) from last quarter to 25.6%.
