During the first half of 2019, the average asking rent increased by 5.5% to $40.45/SF, the first case of the "Colliers Brooklyn 30" asking rent average crossing the $40.00/SF asking rent mark. The increase in availability and asking rents were primarily attributed to 388,000 SF of above-average priced space entering the availability rate at 15 MetroTech Center.
