More than one third of the 0.82 million square foot leasing volume (15,000+ sq. ft.) in new construction (post 2010) and major renovation product during H1 2021 occurred in SL Green’s One Vanderbilt. Notable transactions at the building included Stone Ridge Asset Management (98,000 sq. ft.), MSD Capital (36,000 sq. ft.) and Mamoura Holdings (29,000 sq. ft.).
However, the largest transaction to close was the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai’s 167,000 sq. ft. lease at the renovated 787 Eleventh Avenue. Other noteworthy transactions took place across different pockets of Manhattan, including leases from Fiserv at 1 Broadway (94,000 sq. ft.), New York Legal Assistance Group at 100 Pearl Street (56,000 sq. ft.) and Hyperscience at 1 World Trade Center (34,000 sq. ft.).
