Overall, during the second quarter, the market witnessed a decline in demand with the exception of premier Class A space. Newly built, newly renovated or spec suite spaces account for virtually all new leasing. Smaller users still are dominating activity while larger users continue to right size as they renew. Overall the Twin Cities office market saw nearly a half million square feet of negative absorption.

I have been the Market Leader of Colliers' Minneapolis-St. Paul office since August 2019.  I have helped catalyze growth in our business by adding approximately 20 broker and brokerage support professionals to our team, significantly diversifying our clientele, leading business development pursuits, all of which have helped significantly enhance our top and bottom line performance.

I began my career as an attorney on Active Duty in the United States Army (2006-2011).  I spent nearly five years as a Judge Advocate General, an experience highlighted by a deployment to Iraq from 2008-09.  I also spent time practicing as a Tax Attorney, Contract & Fiscal Law Attorney, Administrative Attorney and completed my tenure in the Army as a prosecutor.  

I began my professoinal real estate development career as a Development Manager with Ryan Companies (2011 - 2015).  I transitioned to Mortenson as a Development Executive (2015 - 2019). In both capacities, I supported and then led a number of developments across the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota.  The seminal achievement of my development career was leading the development of One Discovery Square, the first phase of a Life Science district in Rochester, Minnesota, which was done in collaboration with Mayo Clinic, the University of Minnesota Rochester, and a variety of other commercial partners.  

I employ a people-first, servant-leader approach. I believe in the value of collaboration and strong teams, in peer accountability, and in the power of leveraging insight to the benefit of our client's businesses.
