While the Metro Milwaukee office market is still feeling the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a noticeable increase in tenants actively searching for space in Q1.

One year into the COVID-19 pandemic, commercial real estate is still feeling the impact of employees working from home, businesses struggling and the uncertainty of the future. The office market has been hit harder than the industrial market, with many large users in the market putting their space searches on pause. With this being the case, absorption and vacancy in Metro Milwaukee was impacted by both large and small users leaving space and a muted level of new move-ins among small and mid-size office tenants.
