  • Las Vegas looks forward to major sales at midyear
  • Visitor volume lagged, but gaming revenue was strong
  • More pro sports franchises are looking at Las Vegas

Southern Nevada’s hospitality occupancy decreased to 64.3% in the first quarter of 2022 after averaging 77.3% in the fourth quarter of 2021. Visitor volume recovery continued to lag, despite the return of conventions to the resort corridor, but gaming revenue and leisure and hospitality taxable sales were very strong.
