Hospitality Stays Healthy

After what had been very light hospitality sales in the first three quarters of 2019, the fourth quarter saw a few major sales boost 2019’s numbers significantly.

>> Las Vegas room occupancy remained healthy in the fourth quarter of 2019

>> ADR and RevPAR increased in the fourth quarter of 2019 on a year-over-year basis

>> Hospitality sales were boosted by some large properties changing hands

Overall hospitality industry fundamentals also continued to show improvement. Visitor volume in the first ten months of 2019 was 35.5 million people. This represented 0.5 percent year-over-year growth. Room occupancy growth (year-over-year) was 0.3 percent in citywide occupancy, 2.6 percent in the Average Daily Room Rate (ADR) and 3.0 percent in Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR). Year-over-year, gaming revenue growth was 0.9 percent in Clark County, negative 0.2 on the Las Vegas “Strip”, 6.4 percent Downtown and negative 0.4 percent on the Boulder Strip.
