  • The median price of a single-family home in Ada County in Q2 2022 was $595,000, an increase of 7.6% since Q1 and 17.6% since the same time last year. Canyon County's median home price, which was $460,000 in Q2, has seen very similar increases: 5.0% since Q1 and 17.8% since Q2 2021.
  • 925,000 people were employed in Idaho in June 2022, an increase of 17,000 since March 2022. The rise in employment has kept pace with growth of the civilian labor force, which also increased by 17,000 people over that period. Unemployment, which was already very low 2.7% has fallen even further to 2.5%.
  • Ada County, Canyon County, Eastern Idaho and Southern Idaho all saw decreases in the acreage of commercial land listings this quarter. Eastern Idaho and Canyon County currently have the most commercial land listed, with 4,610 acres and 2,343 acres available, respectively.
