Target and H Mart Stores Boost 3rd Quarter Occupancy

Oahu’s retail market generated a healthy gain of 229,572 square feet of Q3 2022 net absorption resulting in vacancy rates falling to 5.86%, its lowest level since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although it took more than three years to lease, Target leased the former Sports Authority at Windward Mall and H Mart took the former Foodland space at Pearl City Shopping Center. These tenancy gains are welcome news to a retail market that faced innumerable challenges during the past three years.
