West Michigan industrial market returns after weathering first wave of COVID-19
Activity in the West Michigan industrial market is returning after making it through the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many companies in the industrial sector fall into an “essential” business category, so after a brief slow down, the market has been busier than others throughout Q2 and the pandemic. Demand in industrial space came to a halt once Gov. Gretchen Whitmer issued a stay-at-home order, which closed nonessential businesses across the state. During that time, many companies focused on how to implement COVID-19 protocols to prepare for employees to return to work.
