Activity for the office sector in Gainesville decelerated this quarter. The retail sector remains sluggish relative to this time last year, but momentum is slowly returning along with the easing of mandates and occupancy restrictions on establishments city-wide. The Industrial sector has shown its resiliency this quarter with a healthy flow of interest in leasing and acquisitions. The Innovation/Biotech sector continues to accelerate in activity within the Gainesville region. With much anticipation and uncertainty, Gainesville is relieved to see students move back to campus this quarter for the start of the new semester, while also taking the necessary safety precautions.
