- Owners with Class A office space, and those willing to invest in Class B office buildings, can expect positive lease activity through year-end
The Class A vacancy rate within the Columbia Central Business District dropped to 12.47% during the second quarter of 2022 due to 55,062 square feet of absorption. The Class A building under construction at 2300 Bull Street, which will deliver before year-end, pre-leased 25,000 square feet. In addition, much of the quality downtown sublease space has leased. This flight-to-quality follows the national trend that has emerged following a return to the workplace and is hiring and employee-retention motivated.
