2019 Q4 Cleveland Capital Markets Report

Download Report
After a slow start to the year, commercial real estate investment sales activity increased during each quarter of 2019. Transaction volume during the fourth quarter totaled $167.9 billion, bringing the year’s total volume to $570.6 billion, a 2% decline from last year’s volume. The pullback was largely due to the decrease in the number of portfolio and entity sales in comparison to 2018, even with the industrial mega deals recorded in the third quarter. Other sectors, such as office and retail, were not as active thereby pulling the overall transaction volume down.
