Building deliveries raise Midtown vacancy in Q3.
After declining for four straight quarters, Midtown vacancy finds itself on the rise at 19.0% This represents a 240-basis point increase from the previous quarter. This increase in vacancy is largely due to the almost 1M SF of Class A office space that delivered vacant this quarter between Midtown Union and 14th and Spring Street. With that being said, future scheduled move ins from Invesco and McKinsey at Midtown Union will combat this rise in vacancy. Absorption this quarter remained positive at +172k SF bringing the year-to-date total to +893k SF.
