Closing Q2 at 228,000 square feet of absorption, Cumberland/Galleria has rebounded from its start to the year. This brings the year-to-date total to just over 150,000 square feet of positive absorption. Likewise, vacancy has declined 40 basis points year-over-year. This positive momentum can be attributed to the upswing in leasing activity in combination with the lack of deliveries this submarket has seen in recent quarters. Due to a handful of recent signings such as Truist, Old Republic Aerospace and others, this positive momentum is expected to continue throughout the year.
