Midtown closes the first half of the year at an immense 693,000 square feet of space absorbed year-to-date. Also impressively, vacancy dropped an entire 190 basis points from the previous quarter. This is largely due to the anticipated 396,000 square foot move in of Google at 1105 West Peachtree followed by several other midsize occupancies such as MacDermid Graphic Solutions and Outreach Corporation. In addition to this leasing activity, Midtown also claimed the 2nd highest PSF office sale this year with the sale of Atlantic Yards.
