Longaberger Golf Club, which opened in 1999 and was designed by renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills, is ranked the countries 55th best course by Golf Magazine’s 2012 Top 100 Courses You Can Play (out of roughly 13,500 public access courses). In its recent 2013 state-by-state rankings, GolfWeek Magazine rated Longaberger Golf Club the # 1 public play course in Ohio. That marks the 13th straight year that the course has been ranked the best you can play in the state.
Mr. Hills, whose design objectives include minimizing earth movement and utilizing the natural contours of the land, designed Longaberger on 600 acres of rolling terrain. Among the most dramatic holes on the 7,243-yard parkland-style layout, is the par-5, fourth hole that plays 565 yards with a 150-foot elevation drop from tee to green.
