Colliers International Bolsters Washington DC Team With Addition of Michael Blunt

Investment Sales Standout Brings Record of Industrial and Office Success

NEW YORK, September 27, 2018 -- Leading global commercial real estate services firm Colliers International Group Inc. announces that Michael Blunt has joined the company as Executive Vice President. Blunt will be based in Colliers' Washington, D.C. office and will focus on facilitating institutional investment sales opportunities in the region, predominantly in the competitive downtown submarket. Blunt joins Colliers from CBRE where he served as a Senior Vice President in the company's D.C. office.

Blunt brings to Colliers a wealth of institutional relationships and more than 23 years of experience specializing in the investment sales and recapitalization of office and industrial properties. Over the course of his career, he has closed over $10 billion in transactions and worked with prestigious clients across industries, including private equity investors, REITs, lenders, special servicers and major corporations.

Blunt joins Colliers as the firm continues to bolster its investment sales and capital markets presence in the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia region. As the investment sales market in D.C. continues to hold strong year over year, Blunt's hiring is a continuation of Colliers' commitment to adding top-tier talent and providing clients in the region best-in-class services and support.

Blunt's appointment is one of several recent hires that demonstrate Colliers's commitment to increasing its foothold in the D.C. region. In July, the company hired Kate Howarth, who joined the D.C. team as Senior Vice President, Retail Investment Sales.

During his time with CBRE's Washington, D.C. team, Blunt focused primarily on investment sales in the metropolitan area, Northern Virginia and suburban Maryland. He has received multiple top producer recognition and teamwork awards, including being a member of Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association of Greater Washington, D.C.'s "Million Dollar Club" and placing within the CBRE Regional Top 20 and National Top 20 percent of producers. He earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.
