Prestigious Designation Awarded by CoreNet Global

San Jose, CA, (6/2/2020) – Sean Toomey, MCR.w, SIOR, Senior Vice President, Colliers International, San Jose, California, USA, has been recognized for completing the professional development criteria for the Senior Leader of Corporate Real Estate (SLCR) designation. CoreNet Global's SLCR designation is part of a comprehensive career development program for the corporate real estate (CRE) industry.

Those who hold the SLCR represent an elite group of leaders in the CRE profession. The focus of the SLCR coursework is the development of critical leadership skills for those positioning themselves for a greater role in their organization. The SLCR is designed to broaden business perspective, enhance strategic approach to decision making, hone financial analysis skills, and expand a candidate's leadership abilities. Originating in 2002, the SLCR designation has been awarded to over 350 recipients, including 40 in the Northern California market.

"The SLCR designation signifies that Sean Toomey has transcended the corporate real estate function and is a guiding strategic force within his respective organization." said Angela Cain, CEO of CoreNet Global.

"Corporate real estate today continues to elevate up the value chain in organizations as it increasingly outsources traditional transactional work and assumes a more strategic role to help business units align with corporate goals." said Toomey. "Today's real estate leaders not only need to have tremendous financial acumen, but also need to be experienced in organizational structure, wellness, workplace strategy and change management. The CoreNet Global SLCR program offer critical lessons on helping real estate leaders obtain and retain a seat at the table with senior management. The more involved real estate is with the business leadership, the more effectively the real estate team can help shape and deliver on business objectives. These required skills are on display today as real estate leaders rush to address the major changes in workplace strategy 2020 has demanded as a result of the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic. Real estate leaders are also requiring more from their real estate outsource partners, and the thought leadership skills developed through the SLCR program will help position Colliers and me to better assist our clients."

"Sean continues to elevate his level of expertise in the field of Commercial Real Estate. He truly knows that to fully represent a client he needs to never stop learning and growing.
