The property had been marketed a year prior when one of the members of the partnership passed away suddenly. The prior brokerage company had come through a relationship with one of the absentee, and not local, owners. The local management company, who was also part of the ownership, came to us looking for a solution. By leveraging our first class marketing platform, we created a national marketing campaign that provided immediate market feedback. We hosted over a dozen Buyers on scheduled property tours which resulted in a multiple offer scenario. We conducted Buyer interviews with the finalists and the ultimately the Buyer was chosen. The escrow involved a tax credit allocation, several lenders, and extensive property investigation. Ultimately the Buyers closed on time and the partnership was able to exit the asset successfully.
