San Francisco office adds self-storage expert Jacob Becher

San Francisco, CA July 14, 2022 – Leading diversified professional services and investment management company Colliers has announced Jacob Becher will join its San Francisco Peninsula office as Executive Vice President.

“Jacob is a seasoned professional with national expertise in self-storage. His experience representing buyers and sellers’ commercial investment interests will enhance our team’s capabilities and further our strategic development of the Northern California platform,” said Executive Managing Director Steffen Kammerer. “We look forward to his collaboration and leveraging his excellent instincts to support our consulting services and relationships.”

Becher will work alongside Executive Vice President Tom De Jong in representing buyers and sellers throughout the sale, disposition and development of self-storage assets across the United States. Becher and De Jong’s separate locations will enable them to service a broad portfolio of clients nationwide and leverage the mindshare of brokers across Colliers’ platform.

Prior to joining Colliers, Becher served as senior vice president of investments and director of national self-storage group for Marcus & Millichap, overseeing 100 transactions valued at over $850 million. He is a five-time Marcus & Millichap National Achievement Award recipient from 2017-2022 and recently earned the firm’s highest achievement, the Chairman’s Circle of Excellence Award, in 2021.

“Colliers is known for its strong cross-office work and support services from research to creative marketing. For these reasons and more, I am excited to be joining this team of skilled collective of professionals in the San Francisco Peninsula,” said Becher.
