Greg Nachman, Steve Sneed, and Wood Thornton Named Partners at Colliers Virginia

RICHMOND, VA – August 2022 – Colliers International is proud to announce that Greg Nachman, Steve Sneed, and Wood Thornton have all been appointed partner at Colliers Virginia. Nachman and Sneed are Senior Portfolio Managers with the REMS division, and Thornton is Senior Vice President on the Brokerage team. As Senior Portfolio Managers, Nachman and Sneed oversee budgeting and financial reporting for a variety of properties, from Class A office space, to Federal-leased facilities, to industrial warehouses. Thornton, in his role as Senior Vice President, represents both office and industrial tenants and landlords in transactions regarding both sales and leasing.

 

As partner, Greg and Steve will continue to manage their combined 3.5 million square feet of office, industrial, and retail spaces, and Thornton will continue to facilitate both small- and large-scale transactions for his clients.

 

Greg Nachman joined Colliers in 2013 and has over 10 years of experience in commercial property management. He came to Colliers as an assistant property manager, and after multiple promotions has moved into his most recent position of Senior Portfolio Manager. Nachman is a Certified Property Manager (CPM®) and holds a Virginia Real Estate Salesperson License.

 

Steve Sneed has a more than twenty-year career in managing Class A and B office space, shopping centers, and industrial properties, with over 10 years of management at Colliers. Sneed is a Certified Property Manager (CPM®), a Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM®), and holds a Virginia Real Estate Salesperson License.

 

Wood Thornton started working in commercial real estate in 2007 after a 13-year career as a corporate attorney. He joined Colliers in 2011. After numerous transactions, he rose to the level of Senior Vice President for the brokerage team.

 

All three recent partners have contributed to success and growth in the firm. They represent Colliers in being creative, collaborative, and exceptional leaders. Todd Willett

Todd Willett is the Regional Managing Director of REMS|Virginia  and oversees and coordinates a team of real estate managers and support staff responsible for over 50  million square feet of office, flex, industrial, and retail assignments. Todd has 25 years of experience and joined the firm in 1998. Previously he was with a real estate development company for nine years where he was responsible for development, property management, accounting and administration for office buildings, medical centers and industrial properties. In addition, Todd spent three years managing residential properties in Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads. In Northern Virginia, he was responsible for 3,000 residential properties which consisted of single family homes, apartments and condominiums. In the Hampton Roads area, Todd was responsible for 500 resort homes and condominiums. Todd is a Certified Property Manager and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Virginia Wesleyan College. He recently served as the Regional Vice President of the Institute of Real Estate Management.

David Wilkins

Managing Director- Richmond

As Managing Director of the Richmond office, I am responsible for leading the central Virginia brokerage operation consisting of more than of 40 professionals and support staff. In this role, I am responsible for the strategic direction and performance of the region.  And with more than 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, I have acquired a diverse skill set to develop and implement real estate strategies to maximize my customers’ success.  Throughout my career, I have guided owners, occupiers and developers of commercial real estate to create solutions congruent with their short- and long-term business goals.  
I have experience as a single point-of-contact providing complete transaction management and consulting services for my customers. I am fully committed to the customer to ensure smooth transition between project phases while leveraging resources for a direct impact to the bottom line and the success of each project.

Greg Nachman

Senior Portfolio Manager

Greg oversees the property management, budgeting and financial reporting for Class A and B office space, U.S. Federal leased facilities, industrial warehouses, medical office and retail space. His current portfolio consists of over 1.5 million square feet.

Greg has over ten years of commercial property management experience. Prior to joining Colliers, he was an assistant property manager for the Nachman Family.  He switched to Colliers in 2013 as an assistant property manager and has since received many promotions, including his most recent as the senior portfolio manager.

Stephen Sneed

Senior Portfolio Manager

Steve Sneed, Senior Portfolio Manager, has over 20 years of experience managing Class A and B office spaces, shopping Centers, and industrial properties. He is currently responsible for over two million square feet of commercial office and warehouse facilities in the Greater Richmond area. Clients represented include GLP, Exeter, TCO, American National, and BGB Property Company, Inc. Steve is a Certified Property Manager (CPM®) through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), a Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM®) though the International Council of Shopping Centers, and holds a Virginia Real Estate Salesperson License.

Wood Thornton

Senior Vice President

Wood Thornton began his commercial real estate advisory practice in 2007. For all of his clients, he provides comprehensive resources to enable them to fully understand their real estate options and to establish the best real estate strategy for their business. 


Wood represents office and industrial tenants and landlords in leasing and sales transactions. Wood’s clients range from companies with a single location seeking advice on an existing lease renewal to Fortune 100 companies seeking strategic consulting and real estate services for their operations.


Before entering the commercial real estate profession, Wood spent thirteen years as a corporate attorney.  For the last decade of his legal career, he was with Troutman Sanders LLP, where he was a member of Troutman’s Mergers and Acquisitions and Business Venture Team.  He is a member of Law Firm Services Practice Group which provides qualified solutions to the real estate issues facing law firms today.
