155,000 SF urban infill redevelopment will include a mix of Creative Class Office and Flex/Tech space combined with Retail and Food & Beverage Uses

Reno, NV, November 1, 2021 - On behalf Foothill Partners, Inc., Colliers | Reno is pleased to announce The Oddie District in Sparks, Nevada – an urban infill redevelopment of a former Lowe’s into a new 155,000 square foot innovation hub anchored by The Generator, a makerspace community, The Innovation Collective, a collaboroative workplace business accelerator, a 300+ seat food and beverage biergarten, and a black box theater. Located 10 minutes from Reno-Tahoe International Aiport and 7 minutes from the University of Nevada, Reno, the project will act as a catalyst for the community-centric economic and cultural resurgence underway in the Reno/Sparks region and will be available for occupancy by Fall 2022.

“Our goal is working with great merchants and great businesspeople, rebuilding infill real estate that has failed into a vibrant place where we’re putting mercantile and businesses next to culture and healing our communities,” said Doug Wiele, Founding Partner and President of Foothill Partners, Inc. “I know that sounds audacious, but one property at a time, that’s what we’re all about.”

The Oddie District is a big place for small businesses, and available spaces can be tailored to a tenant’s specific needs. The Oddie District will reinvigorate the heart of Sparks, providing multiple space uses for prospective tenants across a wide array of industries in this reimagined building. There is more than 24,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space available, including 16,000 square feet of food and beverage space in the open-air biergarten and 8,000 square feet of small shop retail space. In addition, the property has more than 20,000 square feet of available flex/tech space and 35,000 square feet of creative office space. The Oddie District’s community-driven atmosphere will act as an innovative engine for Sparks and presents tenants with a unique opportunity to be part of this multifaceted artistic and commercial center.

Casey Scott

Vice President

Reno

As an industrial sales and leasing associate in Northern Nevada, I am happy to apply the skills that I developed as a leading retail associate over the last several years. In my retail role, I harnessed my industry knowledge and provided exceptional value to my clients. My extensive client list includes some of the most prominent owners, tenants, and developers in the area such as Shopoff Realty Investments, ALS Geochemical, and McKenzie Development. I have successfully leased and sold property ranging from small single-tenant suites to large multi-parcel shopping centers.

Due to the adjusting marketplace post COVID, traditional retailers are adapting and merging with industrial and supply chain opportunities to narrow the gap between manufacturer and consumer. I saw an opportunity to add value to my clients and change my focus to industrial services. My services include industrial landlord and tenant representation and investment sales in which I bring a pragmatic and analytical approach.

Prior to joining Colliers, I spent nine years in the retail automotive industry where I developed in depth knowledge of the Northern Nevada community as well as the rewards and challenges associated with small business.

As a former flight instructor and airline pilot I have a keen interest in the integration of complex systems, processes and human factors.  A lifetime of self-discipline, attention to detail, and continuous evaluation helps me realize my client’s overarching business objectives. Delivering the counsel and services necessary for true ‘win-win’ transactions is my goal.
