Nutex Health pays $10.5 million for Gilbert emergency facility

Philip Wurth & Alexandra Loye of Colliers negotiate sale

Phoenix, February 24, 2021 – Nutex Health purchased the Gilbert Emergency Hospital at 5656 S. Power Road in Gilbert, Arizona. The healthcare provider paid $10.5 million for the property, which will serve as the company’s third Arizona location.

”Nutex is investing significant capital into Gilbert Emergency Hospital to provide an outstanding healthcare facility servicing the surrounding community,” says Philip Wurth with Colliers in Arizona.

Nutex Health LLC of Houston purchased the property from MPT Operating Partnership LP, dba MPT of Gilbert LLC.  Wurth and Alexandra Loye of Colliers in Arizona represented the seller. Christian Giles of Arizona Healthcare Realty represented Nutex Health.

Gateway Medical is a component of the Gilbert Hospital campus and is Nutex’s third facility in Arizona. The 31,452-square-foot medical facility was built in 2005, and serves as a privately-run emergency facility. It operates as a 42-bed acute care provider to the growing Gilbert, Arizona, community.

The property is situated in the heart of one of Greater Phoenix’s most vibrant suburbs. The campus is directly across the street from Gateway Regional Airport, Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus and Chandler-Gilbert Community College.

Future plans in the area include creation of a sizable mixed-use development on the site of the former GM Proving Grounds. That plan includes a 1,000-plus room hotel and resort; a Gaylord Entertainment national convention, conference and event center; as well as an 18-hole Tom Fazio-designed golf course.

This facility marks Nutex’s 23rd location in the United States. Founded in 2011, Nutex Health is a premier service provider and management firm in the micro-hospital and Freestanding Emergency Room (FSER) industry.
