Mixed-use project to bring luxury apartments, hotel, retail and office space to Avondale

PHOENIX – Construction begins this month on Overland Group’s Avondale Commons, a 22.6-acre mixed-use development on the northwest corner of Avondale Boulevard and McDowell Road. The project will bring four luxury apartment buildings, a hotel, two restaurants, four office buildings and many retail shops to the area. The first portion of the four-building, 39,650-square-foot medical office complex is underway and anticipated to deliver amazing space the second quarter of 2024.

Avondale Commons will feature modern, four-sided architectural design in a lush garden office setting with highly visible monument signage on McDowell Road and Avondale Boulevard. The office and retail space will be finished in 18 months and is available for pre-leasing. The luxury apartments are scheduled to be completed in 30 months, shortly followed by the hotel and conferencing facilities. Office space is expected to be leased by medical professionals and general office business users. The retail portion will include onsite dining and boutique retail amenities. 

Avondale Commons, situated at the corner of Avondale Boulevard and McDowell Road, is located just north of Interstate 10, making it easily accessible for professionals and their clients. The property is near Phoenix Children’s Hospital Southwest Valley, the expansive Friendship Park, and a variety of attractive residential neighborhoods.
