New Immersive Art Experience “Otherworld” is Coming to Greater Philadelphia

One of the World’s Coolest Places and America’s Best New Attractions Arrives at 2500 Grant Avenue, with the Assistance of Colliers Retail

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, August 9, 2022  – Philadelphians get your cameras ready. Otherworld, an immersive art installation born in Columbus, Ohio has plans to expand to the Greater Philadelphia region soon, signing a lease at 2500 Grant Avenue in the Northeast section of the city. Both Todd Sussman and Jon Kieserman of Colliers Retail facilitated the transaction.

Visitors to Otherworld are encouraged to freely explore and interact with a surreal world of science fiction and fantasy moving through scenes filled with large-scale art and mixed reality playgrounds, puzzles and secret passageways. Through highly interactive tech, large-scale props, sets and engaging narrative Otherworld takes immersion to the next level. Since its founding by Jordan Renda in 2018, Otherworld Ohio has gone on to collect accolades such as the “World’s Coolest Places 2019” list in Time Magazine and “America’s Best New Attractions” list by Thrillist.

Otherworld is the result of the collaborations of teams of creatives with backgrounds in programming, metalworking, animation, sculpting, digital fabrication, creative writing and other mediums who have worked on projects like SXSW, Burning Man, theme parks and escape rooms.

“Otherworld brings people together in the physical space for experiences that thrill the senses. We think this is a much needed and exciting experiential retail opportunity and couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to Philadelphia.” shared Todd Sussman of the Colliers leasing team.

Otherworld Philadelphia is readying for opening and will also host concerts, dance parties, performance art, arts and crafts classes and other events at the site. Otherworld joins a dense retail district surrounding the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard and Grant Avenue, neighbored by SkyZone with LA Fitness, Lowe’s, Walmart, Best Buy, Nifty Fifty’s and Giant all represented in the immediate surrounding vicinity.
