Colliers International Taps Ted Koltis to Lead Its Eastern Region’s Agency & Consulting Practice

NEW YORK, October 1, 2018 -- Colliers International Group Inc., the fastest-growing, publicly listed, global real estate services and investment management company, announced today that it has hired industry leader, Ted Koltis, as President of the Eastern Region’s Agency & Consulting Practice. His primary focus will be on Colliers’ New York Tri-State region, with similar responsibilities in other major markets between Boston and Washington, D.C.

Given his extensive experience and 22-year track record of successfully representing both landlords and tenants, Koltis is highly qualified to head up this practice area.

He began his real estate career representing tenants with CBRE’s Consulting Department, where he worked on more than 5 million square feet of complex headquarters-level transactions. He left CBRE to go and build a consulting practice at Tishman Realty and Construction, representing more than 2 million square feet of headquarters transactions before moving over to the ownership side of the business.

Koltis then spent eight years at Tishman Speyer as Managing Director overseeing 11.5 million square feet of office space in the New York region, including several world-renowned properties like the iconic Rockefeller Center.

He left Tishman Speyer in 2010 to join Paramount Group as Executive Vice President, ultimately responsible for more than 16 million square feet of office and retail space. In addition to building the company’s reputation and experiencing leasing success in New York City, Koltis was instrumental in growing Paramount’s portfolio in Washington D.C. and San Francisco. He subsequently raised the portfolio to almost full occupancy across all three markets.

In his new position, Koltis will be responsible for growing the Eastern Region’s Agency & Consulting Practice, which will help landlords position their properties for branding, leasing and investment success and assist major tenants with their space strategies. He will be deeply involved in business development and procuring and retaining top talent in the region.  Koltis’ hire is further evidence of Colliers’ commitment to strengthen its US business operations.

Koltis earned a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
