Five Nashville Producers Receive Colliers 2022 Everest Award

Lance Bloom and Callen Martin Rank First in the Nation

Colliers Nashville announced today that five of the firm's forty-five brokerage professionals were named as top producers for the firm nationally. Lance Bloom, Ashley Compton, Shane Douglas, Callen Martin, and Bert Mathews were named Colliers U.S. Everest Club recipients for their performance in 2022.

 

The Everest Club recognizes the top 10% of Colliers professionals in brokerage, valuation, and corporate solutions across the U.S. lines of business based on revenue produced.

 

Lance Bloom, Principal and Vice Chairman, placed 1st in the nation for Land Property Class. Bloom specializes in urban investment sales focusing on Nashville's Central Business District and core submarkets for office, hospitality, multifamily, and retail projects. With his expertise in the Nashville market, Bloom has brokered more than $600 million in transactions. He has been honored with Colliers' Everest Club Award three years running, and in 2021 and 2022, Lance was recognized as the #1 land broker in Colliers U.S. Bloom is continually named one of Colliers Nashville's Top 10 producers year after year. 

 

Ashley Compton,  Principal and Vice Chairman, is the National Director for the Colliers Self-Storage Group. Compton entered the commercial real estate industry while pursuing an undergraduate degree and has 18+ years of experience representing self-storage property owners and buyers. Compton has sold over 20.1 million square feet of self-storage space valued at over $2.19 billion throughout his brokerage career. Ashley has received the Colliers' Top Ten Producer Award and the Everest Club Award every year since joining Colliers in 2016.   

 

Shane Douglas, Principal and Executive Vice President, serves as Co-Chair of the Colliers International Law Firm Practice Group, is a member of the Colliers Tenant Advisory Council, and is a member of the Nashville Downtown Rotary Club. Douglas is a commercial real estate veteran with 15+ years of experience serving as an advisor to a client base of local and national users of office products and has been actively involved in negotiations totaling more than $500 million in transactions.   

 

Bert Mathews, Principal and Executive Vice President, is a leading force in the Nashville area's vibrant commercial real estate industry. Mathews has dedicated his life to the industry – being a third-generation leader of The Mathews Company, a top commercial real estate development company in Nashville, TN. Mathews is a leading force in the city's civic and non-profit communities, having played key leadership roles while having served as Vice Chairman of The Nashville Airport Authority and Chairman of the Metropolitan Transit Authority. In 2019, Mathews received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Commercial Real Estate from the Nashville Business Journal.

 

Callen Martin, Valuation Services Director, was placed as a top professional in a specialty service. Martin has over ten years of experience providing valuation and consulting services for owners of retail, office, industrial, multifamily, residential developments, and large acreage tracts for hospitality and self-storage development projects.

Ashley Compton

With a reputation as a key player in self-storage investment sales, Ashley Compton has sold or listed more than 20.1 million square feet of self-storage over the course of his 18+ year brokerage career. These transactions are valued in excess of $2.19 Billion and place Ashley among top national producers. Upon joining Colliers' Nashville office in 2016, Ashley was named a National Director of self-storage investment sales.  Ashley has received the Colliers' Top Producer Award and the Everest Club Award (Top 10% Producer for Colliers US) every year since joining Colliers.

While obtaining his undergraduate degree, Ashley launched his career as an acquisitions analyst for a self-storage REIT. His brokerage experience began at CBRE in 2004, where he quickly developed the firm’s Nashville-area self-storage practice and grew it into a well-known national brand. In 2014 and 2015, CBRE recognized Ashley as the firm’s highest-grossing national self-storage producer. Ashley has served diverse clients including Bank of America, GE Capital Corporation, Babcock & Brown, Westport Properties, Koch Real Estate Investments, and Amerco / U-Haul.

Before earning a master’s of business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Mississippi’s School of Business, Ashley received his bachelor’s in finance and real estate from the University of Memphis.

Shane Douglas

Bert Mathews

Bert Mathews is president of The Mathews Company, a leading commercial real estate development company in Nashville, TN, and is a partner with the brokerage firm Colliers International Nashville.
