Colliers Acquires High-Profile Industrial/Office Brokerage Firm in Palm Beach County

Miami, FL, January 2, 2019 As the demand for industrial and office space in South Florida continues to rise, Colliers International South Florida is strategically expanding its team to strengthen its positioning in Palm Beach County. Colliers has brought on board West Palm Beach-based Michael Falk & Co. led by seasoned brokers Michael A. Falk and Scott Weprin. Together, they bring nearly 50 years of experience to Colliers’ South Florida Industrial Services Group and the Office Services Group, where they will join industry veterans such as Steven Wasserman, Mark Goldstein and Michael Wilson. This acquisition gives Colliers a larger footprint in Palm Beach with five new team members and an office in West Palm Beach.

“We are thrilled to have Michael, Scott and team join our firm,” said Ken Krasnow, Colliers’ Executive Managing Director and Area Leader in South Florida. “Their team has a great reputation and tremendous connections in Palm Beach and across the region. Our clients will benefit from their knowledge of the market and deep relationships. This acquisition highlights Colliers’ commitment to bringing onboard the best in the industry because, at the end of the day, this business is all about having the right team in place.”

Michael Falk, CCIM and dual Industrial and Office SIOR designee, founded his company in 1998 and it grew to become a full-service commercial brokerage firm focused on the sale and leasing of office, industrial, and investment properties. Its team represents a variety of clients including Wall Street investment firms and Fortune 500 companies. The firm also works with some of the region’s largest industrial owners, including West Palm Beach-based McCraney Property Co and Precise Properties.

In recent years, Michael Falk & Co. has helped McCraney lease up Turnpike Business Park by attracting tenants such as Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, Portable On Demand Storage (PODS), Lasership, and Mastec. Other clients include West Logistics, Restonic, Basik Trading, Wellington Granite, Primestones®, XPO Logistics, and Arrigo Automotive Group. The firm also represents office holdings of LRP in Palm Beach Gardens where they have leased more than 125,000 square feet of newly constructed space and are working on the newly-remodeled Tower 1555 in West Palm Beach where the team has three full floors available.

“Colliers’ entrepreneurial culture is the right fit for us,” Mr. Falk said. “This partnership will enable our clients to leverage the data, footprint and resources of Colliers’ global platform while maintaining our reputation for delivering strategic and personal real estate solutions. In the past, we have tapped Colliers’ niche specialty groups – such as government or healthcare services – to provide customized expertise locally, and we look forward to further enhancing the client experience now with our combined team.”

Over the last two years, the entrepreneurial culture of Colliers International has attracted some of the region’s most experienced leasing and investment brokers. The South Florida team now includes more than 200 real estate professionals, including brokers, valuation experts, property managers and researchers. Colliers’ South Florida offices are located in Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Miami, in addition to the new office in West Palm Beach.
