Atlantic Sea Farms expands into more than double the size of its current operation
Biddeford, ME – Colliers, a global leader in commercial real estate services, is pleased to announce the lease of 27,800 SF to Atlantic Sea Farms at 20 Pomerleau Street in Biddeford, ME. Mike Cobb and Robert Tragemann, of the Colliers Maine office, represented the Tenant, Atlantic Sea Farms. Greg Hastings, of NAI Dunham Group, represented the Landlord, Westfield, LLC.
Atlantic Sea Farms’ expansion is more than double the size of its current operation, which is a testament to their growth and that of the industry. Their new location consists of 24,000 SF of first floor industrial space and 3,800 SF of second floor office. Atlantic Sea Farms, formerly Ocean Approved, is a Maine-based business that turns locally farmed kelp into consumer-based food products. Farming kelp also benefits the environment by contributing to cleaner waters and mitigating effects of climate change by absorbing excess carbon and nitrogen.
Along with Maine as a whole, Biddeford continues to attract new businesses producing products with a focus on not just profitability but also their global impact.
