Lansing location celebrating two-year anniversary
LANSING - Colliers Lansing is celebrating its second anniversary by reflecting its growth in greater Lansing over the last two years. Beginning in 2019 as a two-person duo working from home, Colliers Lansing now proudly consists of eight team members, comprised of six associates and two full-time staff members. After finding an office in East Lansing that would serve both advisors and clients, located at 2501 Coolidge Road, Colliers Lansing has established a powerful presence within the Lansing commercial real estate market.
The level of expertise continues to grow at the Lansing office. With the addition of multiple advisors, Colliers Lansing now has experts focused on the retail, office, industrial and development incentives sectors.
Colliers Lansing was started by Shawn O'Brien, CCIM, vice president of retail and land development advisor, and Julie O'Brien, vice president of industrial. The first additional professional was Tom Caldwell, who serves as vice president and development incentive specialist. Caldwell had previously commuted to Colliers West Michigan from Lansing. Last year, Jeff Ridenour, associate vice president of office and Amy Richter-Perkins, associate vice president of retail, joined Colliers Lansing.
The most recent hire, Nicole Wiseman, senior associate and office advisor, has worked in the commercial real estate industry for over eight years. "I was driven to Colliers by the opportunity to work collaboratively with a team of people who are passionate about their clients and helping them accomplish their goals," she said.
The Lansing office will continue to expand its depth of services with additions in the multifamily, investment and property management disciplines. "We provide individual expert advice to assist our clients in making educated real estate decisions," Julie O'Brien said. "Our goal is to be their trusted advisor for all current and future commercial real estate needs."
With over 400 offices, including seven in Michigan, Colliers Lansing joins an international platform offering clients access to resources that span the globe. "The growth in our Lansing office demonstrates how Colliers continues to provide the highest level of service by expanding our expertise and connectivity overall," said Jon Potvin, managing director at Colliers West Michigan. "The last two years have been unique for commercial real estate because of the pandemic, but our advisors in Lansing have pulled through and provided essential services to our clients."
Despite the volatile commercial real estate market, Colliers Lansing was instrumental in completing multiple large-scale transactions. One notable project includes Delta Crossing, a retail development at Interstate 96 and Saginaw Highway, one of the largest retail-driven developments underway in the state.
The Lansing commercial real estate market is as active as ever, and Colliers Lansing is proud to provide its services throughout mid-Michigan. "Our clients need us most when there's a seismic shift in the market, and the pandemic has presented that shift. More than ever, it's forced us to be more creative and adaptable for our clients," Said Shawn O'Brien. "We have a talented team, and we look forward to earning our clients' business to fuel our continued growth."
