Jodie Poirier rejoins Colliers as a market leader in Greater Los Angeles

Industry veteran is first woman to oversee Greater Los Angeles for a major commercial real estate services firm

LOS ANGELES, June 24, 2020 — Colliers | U.S. announced today that Jodie Poirier has rejoined the firm as Executive Managing Director and one of two market leaders in Greater Los Angeles.

Among her shared duties, Poirier will have responsibility for overall business operations, talent recruitment and retention and client care for Colliers in Greater Los Angeles and will directly oversee the Agency Leasing and Occupier Services teams across the region. Colliers has 200 real estate professionals, including some 125 licensed brokers, in seven offices in Greater Los Angeles.

“As one of our industry’s brightest and most respected leaders, Jodie brings an innovative approach, relentless passion and a proven record of attracting top talent to this incredibly important role,” said David Josker, President of Colliers’ U.S. Southwest region. “With her broker-centric approach, Jodie has an exceptional ability to build trusting relationships with brokers that helps them grow their business.”

“Colliers’ enterprising business model allows for quick, thoughtful business decisions and under Jodie’s leadership, I am confident that we will leverage this capability to protect and increase our Greater Los Angeles market share,” Josker continued.

Poirier is the first woman to oversee operations across Greater Los Angeles for a major commercial real estate services firm. She joins Colliers from CBRE, where she held leadership positions in both Los Angeles and Boston over the last five years. Before that, from 2011 to 2014, she served as a Director within Colliers’ U.S. Brokerage Services group, where she led various strategic and business development initiatives for the national office and industrial service lines as well as other national practice groups. Poirier earned a master’s degree in real estate development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.

“Colliers has a distinct operating model and culture that allows its professionals to innovate and flex their entrepreneurial muscles,” Poirier said. “With this foundation — and by continuing to focus on our people — we have an incredible opportunity to grow a nimble business that allows us to better meet the needs of our clients. I am excited to be working with David Josker once again and am looking forward to collaborating with him and the rest of our outstanding team here to cement Colliers’ position as a true leader in this market.”
