Sale of Mount Comfort Commercial Park Lot 3


Colliers assisted Becknell Industrial with closing on the sale of a 52-acre site in Mount Comfort Commercial Park located just east of Indianapolis in Mount Comfort, Indiana.  Becknell currently has two buildings under development totaling 650,000 square feet in the Park.

The Colliers Midwest Industrial Sales Team, led by Alex Cantu in the Indianapolis office and Jeff Devine and Steven Disse in the Chicago office, facilitated the transaction on behalf of Becknell. The site was purchased by Exeter Property Group, a real estate investment management firm focused on industrial properties across North America and Europe. Exeter plans to immediately begin construction on a 955,687 square-foot speculative warehouse scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2022. The building will feature 40 foot clear height, 282 trailer parks and 80 exterior docks.

Located along I-70, a primary east-west logistics thoroughfare, Mount Comfort is one of Indianapolis’s fastest growing modern logistics submarkets. More than 5 million square feet of new users have recently opened logistics operations or committed to the Mount Comfort submarket. Hancock County is committing over $30MM in infrastructure improvements to its major thoroughfares to accommodate the needs of today’s modern logistics user.
