Colliers has closed the sale of Bath and Body Works, Inc.’s (NYSE: BBWI) state-of-the-art Midwest e-commerce fulfillment center. BBWI plans to add 500 employees to its central Ohio workforce to fill online orders at the 1,022,380-square-foot build-to-suit facility. Located at 514 Exchange Way in Commercial Point, Ohio, it is the first completion within the 875-acre master-planned Rickenbacker Exchange at Commercial Point industrial park in the southern metropolitan area of Columbus.
The Colliers Midwest Industrial Sales Team — led by Alex Cantu of the Indianapolis office, Jeff Devine and Steven Disse in the Chicago office, along side of Michael Linder in the Columbus office — facilitated the transaction on behalf of VanTrust Real Estate, a full service real estate development company headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. The asset was purchased by The Mid-America Management Corporation, a Beechwood, Ohio based investment firm with a portfolio of residential, industrial, and retail properties across 12 states.
