Colliers is pleased to announce Idle Hands has leased 4,711 square feet at the previous Rosemont bar location at 910 Westheimer Road in Houston, Texas. The development, Montrose Collective, is a mixed used project developed by Radom Capital and was represented by Brittney Austin and Linda Rubiola of SHOP Companies. Hannah Tosch, Wade Greene and Chris Nash of Colliers represented the tenant in the transaction.
"Andrew and I are so excited to bring this concept to Houston. Idle Hands is truly a labor of love and brings to life some of our fondest collective travel memories and influences," said Matt Wolski of Midas Willum Hospitality. "Houston is an eclectic city rich in culture and history. We think the city will marry beautifully with our concept, and we look forward to bringing a venue the community can embrace and be proud of."
Idle Hands, currently on Rainey Street in Austin, Texas, is a partnership between Matt Wolski and Andrew Hunter. The new second location in Montrose will provide tropical craft cocktails, a full kitchen with roof deck/patio seating and live music seven days a week. They plan to open their doors this fall 2021.
"We are thrilled to have secured this coveted space for Idle Hands. This concept will be a perfect addition to the Montrose neighborhood and will continue help elevate the established bar scene along Westheimer. Between the rooftop patio and live music 7 days a week, we expect Idle Hands to quickly become the go-to spot for many Houstonians," said Hannah Tosch, Senior Associate of Colliers.
910 Westheimer Road is located in the Inner Loop River Oaks retail submarket in Central Houston. The submarket contains 13 million square feet of retail space and currently has 631,000 square feet of available space. The Inner Loop River Oaks submarket recorded 247,000 square feet of positive net absorption year-over-year, and the vacancy rate is 4.8%.
