New Planet Fitness coming to Greer Plaza shopping center on Wade Hampton Boulevard


Greenville, SC – Colliers International’s Scott Burgess, Lance Byars and Hector Mendoza represented the landlord, Tate Capital, in the lease of ±20,307 square feet located at 805 Wade Hampton Boulevard in Greer, SC to Planet Fitness. The suite was formerly occupied by Big Lots who recently moved to a different location on Wade Hampton Boulevard.

“Planet Fitness is a great addition to Greer Plaza that will increase traffic to and from the shopping center and surrounding businesses,” said Burgess. “By securing the Planet Fitness lease prior to Big Lots vacating, we were able to minimize the time that the space sits empty, which is a big win for everybody involved.” 

“We are very excited for the Greer community. Securing Planet Fitness as a tenant so quickly reinforces the strength of not only Greer Plaza, but the trade area as a whole,” added Byars. “Greer has seen an influx of new retailers this year, including Popeye’s, Ross, Ulta and Five Below.”

Planet Fitness has an active presence in the region with nine locations across the Greenville – Spartanburg – Anderson area and over 30 locations in the state of South Carolina.

Burgess, Byars and Mendoza are members of the Colliers Retail Services Team, specializing in the representation of owners, buyers and tenants in purchasing and leasing retail space.
