Colliers International arranges 7,200-square-foot sublease in downtown Greenville

Ortec, Inc. plans to move their executive team to 40 W. Broad Street

Greenville, SC – Brantley Anderson and Taylor Allen represented Branch Banking and Trust Company (BB&T) in the sublease of 7,230 square feet at 40 W. Broad Street, also known as Main @ Broad.

BB&T is a financial services holding corporation based in Winston-Salem, NC, with over 2,100 operational branches in 15 states. Colliers office specialists Anderson and Allen were selected by BB&T to begin marketing the space in January 2018.

Ortec Inc., a custom chemical manufacturing and research company, will relocate their executive team to the new location at Main @ Broad in May. Founded in 1980, the company has three plants and over 250 employees, with nearby locations in Easley, Piedmont and Pendleton.

Brantley Anderson, Brokerage Associate, said, “The subtenant’s relocation of its office operations to downtown Greenville from Easley is reflective of the marketplace. More businesses are beginning to consider relocation to downtown, as there are currently multiple options for Class A office space available at competitive rates. We believe the influx of out-of-market tenants to the Central Business District will continue.”

Anderson and Allen are both members of the Carolinas Office Brokerage Team, specializing in landlord and tenant representation throughout the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson region of South Carolina.
