Colliers International announces new Industrial flex service brokerage team for tight Upstate market

Greenville, SC – Colliers International announces a new Upstate small industrial and flex service brokerage team, Richard Barrett and Brannan Hudson, that provides unique solutions for their clients as the local market tightens. Barrett brings over 30 years of corporate sales, acquisitions, business development, tenant and landlord representation experience to the team, while Hudson brings a fresh, tech-savvy approach to marketing, tenant and landlord representation. As demand for this type of space continues to grow and market vacancy drops to 7.2 percent, this team is coming up with new approaches to find clients the right solution.

The Upstate industrial market continuously attracts companies in various sectors with interest in finding smaller spaces that allow them to establish footprints in the area quickly. This recent demand from tenants for flex or service space has pressured developers to bring smaller and more flexible service buildings to the market quickly. Even with limited space, Barrett and Hudson have been able to help out of state firms expand into the Upstate in recent months. For current landlords, the brokerage team has utilized a newly-implemented email marketing system that has allowed the team to efficiently and effectively market the right properties to the best prospects. This has resulted in the leasing of several thousand square feet over the past year.
