Hitchcock & Sons, Inc. Expands Its Real Estate Footprint in Gainesville

Gainesville, Fla. – March 1, 2022 – Colliers GNV Commercial Advisory Team has successfully represented both Hitchcock & Sons, Inc., the Buyer, as well as the Seller in the sale of the 15,844± SF office building in NW Gainesville located at 3701 NW 98th Street. The transaction closed on February 28, 2022.

The purchase of this expansive, stand-alone two-story 15,844± SF office building by Hitchcock & Sons, Inc. is the third commercial property bought by the company over the past few months - - keeping with Hitchcock’s desire to expand and diversify its commercial real estate investment in Gainesville. The building was built in 1993 on 2.30± acres located across from the Meadowbrook community and is currently serving as the new home to Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc.

Rory graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in civil engineering and has spent the past 35 years in Gainesville as a professional consultant in the land-development industry. Shortly following his graduation, Rory founded CHW Professional Consultants. Serving the company for the last 30 years, Rory’s roles shifted from Vice to President, to CEO and later to Founder. Under Rory’s leadership, the company grew from 13 employees to 85 employees and increased its gross revenue to well over $10 million.

 As a professional engineer, Rory has worked on thousands of projects within Alachua County and the southern United States. Having worked with numerous owners and developers on single-family, multi- family, commercial, retail, industrial and institutional uses, Rory has discovered a uniqueness to each property and project after having worked in such a diverse market of land development.
